Quotable

“If the facts don’t fit the theory, change the facts.”
— Albert Einstein

I suspect the Bushies have tried this a time or two.

“If you live to be one hundred, you’ve got it made. Very few people die past that age.”
— George Burns

“I was walking down the street wearing glasses when the prescription ran out.”
— Steven Wright (comedian)

“Indecision may or may not be my problem.”
— Jimmy Buffet

“Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities. Truth isn’t.”
— Mark Twain

So Mr. Clemmens knows this Administration also.

“An intellectual snob is someone who can listen to the William Tell Overture and not think of The Lone Ranger.”
— Dan Rather

“I am not one of those who in expressing opinions confine themselves to facts.”
— Mark Twain

Quite right, sir.

“Don’t let yourself forget what it’s like to be sixteen.”
— Anonymous

Wise words from that wise person. I have a sixteen year-old daughter, so it’s quite easy sometimes. Also challenging and joyful.

  1. Hi Neal! Nice place you have here. I love these quotes. I haven’t forgotten what it’s like to be sixteen but I sure am surprised by the old lady that looks back at me in the mirror. Thanks to you I have discovered I’m not an intellectual snob. I’m almost certain that the Bushies have tried this more than a few times and people are falling for it. The Primanti sandwich (corned beef and cheese, by the way) was delicious and filling. I didn’t have to eat again till almost 6pm. Honey’s son is going to PTI. It’s a two year school. Carnegie Mellon is an impressive school. What is your son taking? I’ve spent some time in Cincinnati, lovely city. It was always our favorite Karate tournament destination. Have a great weekend!
