About…

I live in a suburb just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio and work as a software consultant. My company, Watzman Associates, builds database systems for clients in education and business using FileMaker Pro as a development platform. One of my blessings is that my only marriage has lasted 26 years and that my two children, Joshua and Sarah, are healthy, happy, and so darn smart.

For the first ten years of my life, I grew up in Wellsburg, WV, an Ohio River town of about 5,000. My house was on a lane with one way in and out. It was one of those neighborhoods where everyone knew me and my Mom knew I was in trouble before I got home. On my tenth birthday, we moved across the Ohio to live in the big city of Steubenville, Ohio.

I am a graduate of Steubenville High School (’68), University of Cincinnati (’72), and West Virginia University (MA, 1976). I received a good education at Steubenville HS, graduating 13th in my class (my son says “out of 14”). I stayed at UC to keep from getting drafted, and received a high quality education at WVU, where I’m proud to be an active alumnus.

When I’m not working on my MacBook Pro laptop, you might find me on the tennis court at Beechmont Racquet Club, playing guitar, or singing.  I sing bass and/or baritone with two choirs, at Heritage UU Church, or with Voices of Freedom Choir.
